From November 24 to December 17, get in the holiday spirit with the Evergreen Festival
HALIFAX, NS – The Evergreen Festival is back and is bringing fun, free, and family-focused outdoor winter-themed activities to the Halifax waterfront, and other locations in the Halifax Regional Municipality, from November 24 to December 17.
Evergreen is a four-week holiday festival that allows guests to enjoy safe, walkable outdoor experiences, support local businesses, and showcases Nova Scotia culture, food, spirits, and art.
2023 marks the fourth year the festival has been held, and includes:
- The Evergreen Market, where more than 35 different Nova Scotia makers, creators, artists, and businesses will share their offerings in cozy wooden chalets along the Halifax waterfront over the course of four weeks;
- The Evergreen Stage will feature a diverse range of musicians and performances (full schedule here), curated by the team that brings you the TD Halifax Jazz Festival and located at The BG (The Beer Garden);
- Evergreen Bright is a collection of light installations throughout downtown Halifax and Dartmouth; and
- The Cocoa Trail, where local businesses are offering holiday hot chocolates to keep you warm.
With so much to see and do, there truly is something for everyone to enjoy! The Evergreen Festival receives some private-sector support for some installations and activations. A collaborative effort between organizations in the region, the primary partners behind Evergreen Festival are Build Nova Scotia, TD Halifax Jazz Festival, Halifax Regional Municipality, and Discover Halifax.
