June 21, 2021 - Halifax, Nova Scotia: Discover Halifax, the region’s non-profit sales and marketing organization, is pleased to welcome Fallon Bourgeois as director of communications and Holly Chessman as director of marketing and member services. Bourgeois has focused on communications, public relations and stakeholder engagement in the non-profit and post-secondary education sectors. Chessman, a marketing professional, brings expertise in client services and strategy.

“I am thrilled to have Fallon and Holly joining our team at Discover Halifax. Individually they bring a breadth of experience and tremendous passion for the mission of the organization and Halifax,” says Ross Jefferson, President and CEO of Discover Halifax.

Bourgeois holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma in Public Relations. She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Relations. Chessman holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and Diploma in Public Relations.

Bourgeois has been responsible for leading strategic communications initiatives that have engaged key stakeholders and strengthened relationships with the organizations she has served, including the Victorian Order of Nurses and Dalhousie University.

“I’m so pleased to join the team at Discover Halifax and have the opportunity to help share, promote and grow the region. The Halifax region is a place I’m grateful to call home,” says Bourgeois.

Chessman has developed successful strategies for clients in various industries including consumer packaged goods, non-profit organizations, telecommunications, utilities and government.

“I am excited to join the Discover Halifax team to help promote the region. There is tremendous opportunity in the tourism field with pent-up demand for travel coming out of the COVID-19 pandemic. I’m looking forward to playing a role in boosting tourism and economic activity in the Halifax region,” says Chessman.
