Creative Report Card recognizes Discover Halifax for the first time

Strategy is a Canadian digital publication that focuses on the national marketing community. Every year, they assess the Canadian advertising industry and put out a Creative Report Card, ranking individuals and organizations based on performance from the previous year. It’s usually focused on creative agencies and the roles within them.

But the Report Card does include a Brand category, and we’re happy to share some big news. For the first time ever, Discover Halifax made the Strategy list!

We’re ranked 146th of recognized brands in Canada, from consumer-packaged goods to financial institutions to not for profits. There are some big names included.

From a travel and tourism perspective, we’re in very good company. Congratulations to Destination Quebec City, Destination Toronto, Destination Montreal, Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism, Alberta Tourism, and our national marketing organization, Destination Canada.

Many ad agencies and creative professionals based in Halifax and Atlantic Canada were featured on the list as well, including our agency of record, Trampoline, and our Digital Content Marketing Program partner, M5.

Also, hats off to the likes of WestJet, Air Canada, and Go RVing Canada who made the 2024 list.

“We don’t have awards on our minds when building creative - our focus is truly on ensuring our campaigns are effective and position Halifax in the proper light,” says Clare Tidby, Vice-President, Marketing and Visitor Experience. “That said, there’s no doubt being recognized within the industry, against other amazing work, is a feather in the cap for our team. Thanks to our partners who work alongside us and support all we do to promote our beautiful region.”
