The opportunity

Discover Halifax’s Business Events program is growing, both in the volume of business we support and in the level of service we provide to our clients and partners, and we are seeking a Client Experience Coordinator to join our team. This is a dynamic, hands-on role that provides flexible support across the department, including sales administration, marketing, event logistics, group servicing, CRM management, and enhanced client services.

Reporting to the Vice President, Business Events, the Client Experience Coordinator will be an adaptable and organized team member who can move comfortably between priorities, keep projects on track, and ensure the important details are addressed. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, is highly organized, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where no two days are necessarily the same.

  • Provides responsive, flexible support across the department and adapts to changing priorities.
  • Keeps sales, marketing, group servicing, and CRM activities organized and running smoothly.
  • Delivers professional, timely service to clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Takes initiative, follows through on details and helps create capacity to support Discover Halifax’s continued growth.

Qualifications and experience

  • Post-secondary education in tourism, hospitality, event management, business, marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple workstreams, projects, deadlines, and stakeholders while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the judgment to respond directly, seek clarification or escalate matters when appropriate.
  • Ability and confidence to be client-facing and represent Discover Halifax professionally.

  • Strong organizational, time-management, and follow-up skills.
  • A collaborative, service-oriented approach and the ability to move comfortably between sales, marketing, client-service, and administrative responsibilities as priorities change.

You bring

  • A can-do, adaptable approach, and willingness to jump in where support is needed.
  • The ability to work independently while knowing when to ask questions, seek direction, or escalate an issue.
  • Professionalism, sound judgment, and confidence interacting with clients, partners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
