Are you planning a visit to the Halifax Regional Municipality?
Now you can better understand the environmental impact of your trip, and take steps to give back to nature.
We have teamed up with the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) to launch a new carbon footprint calculator. The tool enables visitors to estimate the carbon emissions associated with their trip, and, if they choose, help pay it back to nature by voluntarily donating to NCC’s conservation efforts in Nova Scotia.
The calculator considers key travel factors like departure city, mode of transportation, stay length, dietary preferences, and number of people in the party and provides visitors a simple way to better understand their footprint when planning a trip to Halifax.
You can try the carbon footprint calculator for yourself by clicking here.
As visitors look for more responsible ways to explore, the calculator offers a new opportunity to make informed choices. For more information on sustainable and thoughtful travel, visit discoverhalifaxns.com/sustainable-travel.
